Epic Showdown on Toebeck Island

I had a crazy plan (so about normal for my plans), what remained of my ghost army spread out from the cave and rushed the village (that wasn't the whole plan before you start judging!) I had enchanted them with fire (in so much in that I set them on fire and because they are undead ghosts they just kind kept living).  My hope was that their spectral essence combined with my fire would slip by whatever enchantment the spider queen evil thing had done to stop my magic.

I was walking behind the initial assault (because ultimately someone was going to have to see if this plan failed, and it might as well have been me).  From a distance I could see the village had changed in the time I was out, huge spider webs were out in the open, and apparently spider creatures of all sorts were on them (I couldn't make out exact details, but it appeared that the man spider I had seen earlier was one of the prettier ones).  As my burning ghost army approached the spider webs I was a bit worried they'd just get picked off without standing a chance, but fate or whatever luck I have was with me.  As the burning ghosts hit the webs I could see the fire leap up and spread, and because of how the spider webs were layed out in the village it quickly turned the whole thing into an inferno.  I lost sight of how my ghost army faired as the village lit up.  I was trying to get closer when my father showed up holding my sword.

"You've ruined everything, just like you did when you were a child." I feel that was a bit harsh, I mean I was hardly around as a child.

"What can I say father ruining things is what I do best." Its the truth, you want something preserved send someone else.  He came at me with my own sword, I bet he felt it was irony, or some kind of well deserved end.  He was not a very good swordsman, and with a quick kick to his groin I disarmed and beheaded my father, as his head went flying I creatures came scurrying out of the neck hole in an image that still kind of haunts me.

Back in the village I heard a roar and the spider queen emerged from somewhere, the fires were now spreading from beyond the village to the few trees that were nearby.  The queen was burning, covered in ghosts who were litterally ripping her apart and yet she kept coming.  I made myself ready with my newly aquired sword, but it was really for nothing, the beast barely made it out of the village before it collapsed and was ripped apart (for what purpose I have no idea, but ghosts on fire have their own minds for these things).

The sun was just starting to get to the high point for the day as the fires raged and the smoke blacked out most of the island (thankfully the wind was blowing away from where I was so I didn't immediately have to take shelter).  It would be hours later before I saw the ghosts again, their numbers once again reduced.  But for then I savored the victory over my father and his spider wife/creature/thing. I still was kind of stuck on toebeck, but I had a plan for that as well, there was always a plan, even when there wasn't.
