“What did you put in those bullets?” Kyriac was all set to
run from the truck when all four morlatech bots exploded. He only heard one
shot, a loud booming sound, and then its resulting explosion seemed almost as
big despite Kyriac knowing that was not feasibly possible from just the one
explosive round.
“Well I’m not going to lie and say I didn’t cook them a bit,
but no way can one round do that kind of damage. I have to assume I hit some
kind of ordinance within the thing and then it triggered and exploded causing
some kind of cascade explosion among the other bots.” It seemed a plausible
explanation, though Deliah did not know how true it actually was, but it sounded
nice. Kyriac started laughing at it all, in one minute he was ready to get
killed and now suddenly everything looked fine. Deliah herself started
laughing, she was still laughing when Riobeck walked up bewildered to find two
people standing near a truck in the middle of the desert just laughing. Riobeck
was about to ask them for help until he saw Deliah standing there.
“Well hello Riobeck good of you to com all the way over here
so I didn’t have to go all the way to you, you slimy bastard.” Deliah pointed
the long shot at him and he put his hands up, he knew he’d just gone from saved
to screwed in record fashion.
