He'll Turn Up, Probably

The most ego crushing thing for me is that the universe keeps going on when I'm not around. I just assume when I go missing everyone drops everything to find me. This has not and continues not to be true, much to my chagrin. - Chronicles of Lorentino

Trezlan Lorentino was missing. Rolando was free, his father was missing. The Fire God when she freed him and Tvrasia from her prison informed him its not worth looking for the elder Lorentino, that he was just "gone" but Rolando didn't buy that. He didn't accept his father would have been killed, he figured he'd have felt it, sensed it somewhere else other than just being told by a god.

Officially Rolando was the new ambassador to the Rondyne. It didn't feel right, he was supposed to be a black ops killer, not some crappy boarderline spy again working against the people who had tried to save him instead of kill him like his own people. But work was work, and without his father being around to wreck things Rolando settled in to the work. It also allowed him more time with Tvrasia which was a plus as he had become fond of her in their imprisonment even if it was more against their will than he wanted. She felt the same and it wasn't long until they had an actual relationship.

And so Rolando thought less of Trezlan and more of his lifestyle. In time he forgot about his father, all the horrible things he'd done and just got on with life. As did the galaxy, Trezlan disappeared, most likely killed, and everyone moved on. Trezlan became a myth like he had in the past. It also helped that ten years after he went missing a galaxy wide war broke out, because the galaxy just loves to blow things up.
