The Red War Part 6

Twists and turns are the highlight of starship navigation. Every ship has these little high rises and low rises to make sure you bang your foot and smash your head on everything. I'm told they are useful to section of damaged sections, but all they really seem to do for me is to injure and annoy. The Followers ship was no different, and their aesthetic of having everything rust red made navigating it all the worse. By the time I found where I was staying, I had banged my shin, bruised my head, and just wanted to sleep. The room I was staying in was bare. Just a mattress and a dresser to store clothes in. I hate that the followers never ever give you creature comforts, there is more to life than war you assholes!

"Comfortable?" The leader of the Followers was a decent enough person named Claire. Well decent enough meaning she was a horrible killer, and she was a Mordere from the missing eye which was all the more frightening, but she treated me nicely.

"Not at all, this is intolerable, my accommodations with Trenk were crap, but this is worse."

"You get your own room, this should satisfy your needs."

"It does not, nor do I know what you want with me, I was ripping Trenk off, I don't know shit about how to stop this war, or even what caused it." Claire smiled it reminded me of Hanlon in a way I wasn't sure of, probably the falseness of it.

"But you do know the Fire God, you have been equated to her avatar."

"If you think she'll help you are sorely mistaken, believe me, she was the first person I wanted to speak with when this happened."

"So you did speak with her."

"Sort of."

"Explain." I sighed and then recounted my tale, yes this is a story with a story I was telling you anyway journal. Look you know my tendencies you can't be surprised.
