Futility, A Lorentino Specialty

"Sir I know you are well versed..." SiC was on the ship with the rest of the AI, Trezlan insisted on visiting the planet by himself. Said it was one of the few places he actually considered holy ground even if the atmosphere was no longer actually liveable anymore, and the planet had been torn apart by a huge war. Trezlan had fond memories of the place even if its broken exterior looked nothing like he remembered.

"If you're going to say I don't know where the sword is because I can't possibly know, you're wrong, I know vaguely where it is." Vaguely was vague enough to cover that Trezlan believed it was on the planet, probably. But he didn't want the AI to know that. It's why he didn't want them down there with him, that and he felt the robots shouldn't be there, it was a planet of the dead, and only the dead should be there.

"It's just that sir, its dangerous on the planet scans show several different forms of life that would be hostile to you, even in the suit, and you are not as young as you once were." The youth thing almost had Trezlan laugh.

"I'll be fine guys, you just keep a watch on anyone who may be coming, I don't want to be disturbed."

"Yes Sir, sir you'll admit when the search is futile and come back correct?"

"Futility is what I do best, a long with everything else I do well."

"Yes Sir, we'll maintain a vigil, good luck." The communicator went dead and Trezlan looked into the cavernous underground tunnel in front of him and nodded. He'd need the luck, especially where he was going.
