Know Your Spider Nightmares

After reading my entry from yesterday (took like an hour damn my handwriting is awful, which I'm now writing only propogating the cycle), I realized I should probably define this particular creatures a bit more, since there are so many horrible ones I've come across and will continue to write about, I figured I might have to actually take time to explain them. You know already of the goli, but do you know, the most terrifying creature of them all (Ok not really, but that just sounded right in my head).

What we ran across back then were called "Dentatri".  Now Dentatri were human, and some of them are still mostly human on the outset (how my Aunt initially got tricked was from a Dentatri feeder, a worshipper of the truer form of Dentatri that seeks to join the others, they do this by of course feeding them tricked people).  Some are more spider then others, what this is based off of is the corruption.  See I mentioned before that the corruption twists you, sometimes this is outward (or inward) and sometimes its over a long period of time brought about by intentional use/aided by others.  Dentatri are sick twist magic users who would rather be powerful spider beings then normal people.  It's basically a religious cult usually lead by a non transformed member (difference between a feeder and a leader? Leader has actual powerful magical ability).  Through controlled over use of their magic they warp their bodies to their "True" form.  Common wrongly held belief is that this is what happens when a corrupt magic user goes unkilled (not true in the slightest, you just go bat shit nuts and murder everyone eventually dying of starvation).  Why spiders I'll never understand, I guess to be extra creepy.  Dentatri are cannibals of course (is it really a cannibal if you become some other hybrid? Half cannibal?).  They appear all over, there is no central leadership that I've ever seen (hopefully, gods know I'd never want to run across some hive mind of Dentatri), other then the spider like look, they share no other abilities of actual spiders.  They can not thankfully breed (due to malformity) so they either convert or eventually die off.

The group we ran across was a local chapter that had met in secret in that town and then eventually killed everyone off in town (People are so blissfully unaware of the monsters in their lives, I bet you don't even know of all the horrible things in your current vacinity!) Fortunatley for my Aunt that was the only time she ran across Dentatri, unfortunately for her nephew that was just my first encounter.  So now you know a bit more about something horrible, I think I'll take a bath I suddenly have an itching feeling all over.
