While I Was Out Part 2

Politics: My least favorite subject of anything really this will be as brief as I can make it.  Ronerawth as I said previously aside from the minor flare up against the tribals withdrew from politics on the main land mass. They completed their wall, set up cannons and other bombardments along the coast and maintained a seperate entity from the The Red Hand focussing instead on industry and expanding trade routes across the water.

The Red Hand combined industry with magic to partial success (lots of horrific death accompanied these successes). They also continued being overbearing dicks, with the invention of the steam engine and the tribal war they decided it best to lock down their territory something fierce.  Taxes went up, armed forces went up, and Judges went from the occaisional maurading magic murderer (love alliteration) to defacto tyrant rulers of areas, backed by the central government.  Once again the seeds of their own destruction were sewn in their overbearing rule.

Religion: In the wake of the tribal conflict and the crackdown by the Red Hand, the Followers of Fire expanded all over the Red Hand territories. Offering a strength in conflict belief system was appealing when it seemed like people were dying everywhere.  The Black Path also sprung up from this for much the opposite reason, people wanted to strive for peace through improvement, though the Followers and Black Path stood in idealogical difference neither one attacked the other openly (the followers while believing their religion superior never did care much for idealogical warfare, The Fire God believed weaker religions would be destroyed in good time without interference). I definately noticed more of both organizations religious paraphenalia becoming available everywhere, even with my infrequent trips to society.

So governments clamped down and religion blossomed, I tell you when I take a vacation from society things just go to hell.  Speaking going to hell, tomorrow I'll write about my return to not so polite society!
