I never liked sneaking around, I figure problems are best hit head on with fire and necromancy, if I was going to have to kill someone better to have them know it well in advance, takes the guessing out of it. - Chronicles of Lorentino
"It was damned foolish." Nihls had made the rare personal appearance to chastise Rolando for shooting the mercs. Rolando didn't see the big deal, he figured an asshole like Delorey would have shot people who came to hurt him, but Nihls did not.
"I'm sorry next time men break into my apartment I'll just shift to beat them up, that's much easier to explain." Nihls shook his head and drank his beverage. They were in a small cafe, sitting near each other, but trying hard not to look like they were actually anything more than two men who happened to be having a conversation. Rolando had just gotten released by the authorities after they had certified his sequence of events was the most likely one based on evidence and testimony.
"You need to be more careful, you don't want to rock the boat."
"I'm not taking a beating to keep my cover."
"You might have to."
"Then you'll have to find a new gods damned gopher." Rolando got up to leave and Nihls didn't follow even if he wanted to as it would endanger Rolando's cover. Rolando was just tired of having to blend in for blending in sake, He didn't even know what the RIGS wanted him to do. He was a spy without a mission and he was getting tired of the lack of direction. He was also not really paying attention to where he was going and ended up in a dead end alley, when he turned around he was greeted by several people armed with pistols.
"Whoa hey whoa hey." It was the only thing he could think of saying, he was certain somewhere out there Trezlan smiled.

"Not exactly the best tasting food, but you know I've eaten worse." I had found what was kind of food, it was like a sludgey paste that was probably long expired, but since I needed to exist and other more flavorful sources had been exhausted it was either eat the paste or ask Luke what he was doing to keep living and I would be damned if I was going to do that. Midway through digesting I suddenly felt proud of Rolando, and I can't really explain why.
