No Restrictions

I figure when everyone elses books are done and over I'll keep writing, thus having the longest book of all time. A shame I'm the only one who has ever read it. - Chronicles of Lorentino

"I hope you've learned your lesson." The two generals had been arguing for what felt like days. Commander Lorentino's debrief had gone about as well as it could with the body count he had racked up. General Lorzine was smiling, it was the other General Risir who felt like he got caught holding the bag.

"Yes Lorzine, I should have let the dangerous shifter join your black ops group to start instead of hoping he'd be useful in intelligence. There are you happy? Are you happy you won?"

"Extremely Risir, extremely."

"I'll be happy when he goes nuts and murders all of your people, that will be a happy day for me." Lorzine frowned.

"So salty Risir, you got what you were after, a Morley off the board."

"He was supposed to be on the board, for us! The damned ass was supposed to defect until Lorentino went and screwed that all up." Lorzine was laughing again and Risir had had enough. He left the mess hall the two had been arguing in and Lorzine was happy to be alone. A feeling that was immediately ruined by a communication from his staff.

"Sir?"

"I'm eating, can it wait?"

"No sir, command wants to know what restrictions you are putting on the commander?" Lorzine scoffed at the question.

"None."

"I'm sorry sir your signal didn't come through clearly it sounds like you said none." The tech was one of the junior ones in his unit, a political appointment rather than a military one, Lorzine tired of him every time he talked to him.

"I said none, whoever is asking can answer directly to me. The commander will have no restrictions, if he makes a mistake it will be on me, dismissed." He disconnected before he could hear anything in return.
