Ain't No Shorty Can Hold My Body Down

This may surprise you, but my patience for remaining underwater is not very high (I know I'm such a patient person).  Turns out at best I can only stay underwater for a couple minutes before mania sets in and I have to get out.  So there I was emerging from the pond covered in mud and dripping with small plants on my shoulders. The shorties were to put it lightly surprised to see me.

They were armed with spears and little else (seriously guys put on some damn clothes), I had nothing except my firey ability (which as I've shown is more than enough to get the job done). At least they were split up from looking for me, the first couple who came charging at me got torched. I was just patting myself on the back when a spear pierced my lower back, the shorty used it as a sort of pole vault and winded up on my neck. Pierced and fighting a damn midget on my back more came running (because when you've got your enemy wounded you don't let up). When in a fight you have to deal with immediate concerns (like say a murderous jerk on your neck) before more secondary ones, like a group of 18 midgets rushing up to kill you to death (I guess locking me up was no longer an option for the man in white? A shame). I swatted the shorty on my back like a troublesome fly, he hit the ground with a thud and I sent him a distance back with a well timed kick (midget punting, a sport that has never ever taken off despite numerous attempts). He joined his fellow shorties in a large circle around me.  I could feel things were not exactly in my favor.

They were at least advancing on me cautiously, despite me having a damn spear sticking out of me.  I was in the middle of a circle of doom, my first move was to get the damn spear out (which hurt, but appeared to be a superficial wound, never before was I glad I don't have a lot of excess fat on my torso, well other than when ladies give me approving glances, so never). Immediate pain resolved, I invited the shorties to attack me. I won't go into details because my mind is hazy, the battle lasted hours, in the end I was victorious on top of a pile of shorty corpses.  It was quite the show of hand to hand, magic, necromancy, and raw anger. I stood near my pile of corpses exhausted, I sank my spear into the ground and collapsed.  But the day was mine!
