When you take someones soul there are complications. Always complications, its the hardest part about unstable necromancy (and any necromancy commited during corruption is by its nature very very unstable). Most of the time you'll know when you screwed up, something will be readily apparent (feeling sick, weird after effects, one time I peed violet, though that could have been unrelated), as I crawled out of the lair of the spidermancer, I could already feel messed up. Physically I felt great, but mentally? I had damage (more than usual), sleeping seemed like a good idea, perhaps I was just tired from being smacked around like a rag doll. It seemed as good a plan as any (and it was horribly wrong but so are a lot of things) so when I laid down I thought maybe things would turn around and I'd be feeling better when I woke up.
The dreams came immediately, nightmarish images of spiders and doing things to spiders that no one should ever do (I didn't know people mated with spiders, I don't think "people" do, but all the same its one of the things I saw). I saw the life of the interrogator (he wasn't born a spider person but from what I saw he was hardly a person at all), he did things behind spider mating that should never happen, during the night I saw attrocities I'll never commit to anything (and you've seen what I write down so that tells you how bad it was).
The main thing I learned from these horrendous nightmares was the deal the Loshans made to get the spider silk (still didn't see how they harvested it, or I did and I chose to forget, take your pick). The matriarch had promised one of her daughters to the interrogator and as you can assume she backed out of the deal and that lead to people being dead (whats more bodies compared to your daughter living a life indebted to a spider monster). Also something weird (well weirder) the Loshans didn't make their money, they just had it, the interrogator tried to find out where they got it to try and stop it, but he could not, the money was just there for all he could figure. He was actually in the process of trying to find out where they got their money when I happened to arrive in the spider cave. Something I immediately noted was probably not accidental.
When I awoke I was hungry, haunted, and not alone. The man standing in front of me was in a suit too finely made, with a dangerous smile, his facial features outside of the smile were hard to pin down as they seemed to shift as I looked at him (not from being awake out of a nightmarish sleep).
"Mr. Lorentino I believe you and I need to be aquainted." His voice melodious inviting, I suspected him immediately.
